Sniffles and sneezes might be some of the symptoms associated with the common cold -- but, actually, ``mite`` is the operative word here. That`s M-I-T-E, as in dust mites. Dust mites are microscopic organisms that feed on dead skin, animal hair and the like.
Thursday: 70 Iraqis, 2 GIs Killed; 30 Iraqis, 3 GIs Wounded

At least 70 Iraqis were reported killed today and another 30 wounded in various incidents around the country. Also, the U.S. military reported that an American soldier was shot dead in Baghdad on Tuesday, and today in Diwaniyah one soldier was killed and three others wounded when their Humvee struck a roadside bomb.
Friday: 3 GIs, 40 Iraqis Killed; 27 Iraqis, 1 Briton Wounded

At least 40 Iraqis were reported dead today, most of them were found dumped in several cities throughout the country. Another 27 people were wounded. Fridays are relatively quiet because it is the Muslin prayer day and many journalists take the day off. Three American soldiers were also killed. A British soldier was seriously wounded north of Basra when his patrol came under fire.
